| My First Dragon Boat Festival
One of the best parts about living in Taiwan as an American has to be the holidays. Not only do I celebrate Western holidays, but I also get to enjoy several Taiwanese holidays throughout the year. One of my favorites is Dragon Boat Festival.
I must admit that I had never heard of this holiday before I came to Taiwan to study Chinese. My first encounter with it came when I was a student at NTNU. Some of the other foreign students were getting up at 5:00 AM to train for the dragon boat race, and they tried to convince me to join the team.
老外的端午初體驗
身為一個美國人住在台灣最棒的其中一部分，就是台灣節日了。我不僅慶祝西方的節日，我也喜歡一年中台灣的幾個節日。我最喜歡的其中之一就是端午節。
我必須承認我來台灣學中文之前，從來沒有聽過這個節日。我第一次遇到這節日，是在師大唸書的時候。有些其他的外國學生早上五點就起床，為了龍舟比賽而訓練，他們試著說服我加入團隊。
