As any pianist will tell you, Chopin is the most famous composer for piano. Born in Poland in 1810 to a French father and a Polish mother, Chopin showed an early talent for music. By eight years old, Chopin had already composed music and often gave concerts. People in Poland called him the “second Mozart,” and his musical abilities soon passed those of his teachers.
